FAQ
What is the cost of installing & operating Hidro+ Plant?
Hidro+ is economic on scale. Approximate commercial cost for 1MW Hidro Tower is US$3.75 million.
Hidro+ will cost approximately 1 cent/KW Hr to operate, this includes maintenance & capital replacement.
What makes Hidro+ sustainable?
Hidro+ is unaffected by the costs associated with fossil fuels, consumables, upstream and downstream processes, providing sustainable energy security and energy independence in a environmentally friendly and economic manner by utilising only nature's energy and phenomenon that is continuously and freely available to everyone to generate energy.
Can I purchase my own Hidro+?
Generally no as we are initiating the process of screening potential licensing partners and ascertaining the particulars of a relationship, however, purchasing can be considered on individual merit, subjected to a large capacity requirements.
Can Hidro+ Plant come online quickly?
Yes, Hidro+ and can be safely deployed any where in the world, utilise current transmission networks, forgoing the surmountable cost of surveyors, research and development, infrastructure and transmission lines.
Does Hidro+ Produce any Greenhouse Gases?
No, Hidro+ does not produce any Emissions- Carbon Dioxide, Nitrous & Sulphurous oxide or any other gases or chemicals. Hidro+ is designed and constructed with the lowest possible carbon footprint and incorporates the use of recycled materials.
Is Hidro+ Safe for me and the environment?
Yes. Hidro+ is sustainably safe for you and the environment as Hidro+ uses no external fuel source or chemicals, utilising only what nature has naturally provided to us to generate energy.
What is the Availability, Reliability & Efficiency of Hidro+?
100%.
How many households can Hidro+ plant generate electricity for?
Hidro+ plant is capable of providing electricity for entire cites. A single 1MW Hidro+ continually generates enough electricity for approximately 700-1000 households.
What is the footprint area of the Hidro+ plant?
1MW Hidro+ plant is approximately 375m2 x 11.5m High. 100MW Hidro+ Plant is 2ha.
Is the Hidro+ noisy?
No.
Does Hidro+ have patents?
Yes patents held by Mr James Kwok. Hidro+ Deep Water Technology is protected under is protected under World Patent Numbers: AU2007/906961 and PCTAU2008/001888. The International Preliminary Examining Authority Reports, dated 23/6/2009, have issued statements under Article 35(2) for the total Patents, due all claims are considered Novel, Inventive and complete for Industrial Applicability. The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) on the 25th June 2009 published the International Hidro+ Patents Publication Number WO2009/0876727A1.
Does Hidro+ use water?
Yes but only sea water or recycled water as a static-medium and not for operating cycles such as cooling and steam generation, which results in no volume depletion of the sea water from the Tower.
Is Hidro+ a Perpetual Motion Machine?
No because the perpetual motion and conservation of energy refers to thermodynamic principles (1st, 2nd and 3rd laws); but not fluid mechanics and dynamics, flow of physics, Archimedes Principles and Newtown's Laws (1st and 2nd Laws of Physics).
Now to put the above explanation into relevant equations and technically referred to as Energy and Mass Balance:
* In energy conversion: Ei = Eo - ZL; where Ei= energy input on continuous basis, such as coal, gas, biomass as heat energy, wave and wind as mechanical energy.; Eo= Energy output in electrical energy; ZL=zigma Losses due to energy conversion and frictions, and ambience conditions.
* In perpetual motion: Ei = Eo + DE; where Ei=a one-time-only energy input, such as movements of filaments due to heat and pressure variants from ambience conditions, and/or mechanical energy.; Eo= energy output in electrical energy; DE= delta energy gained due to whatever (which we concur with you as invalid!).
* In Hidro+: Ei + EProd = Eo - ZL; where: Ei= electrical energy input on continuous basis; EProd=energy gained due to deep water pressure energy conversion including buoyancy at 1010kg/m3 and deep water pressure at 1bar (100kPa) per meter of water depth; Eo= energy output including gravity and potential energy of freefall object and terminal velocity; ZL=zigma losses due to conversion and frictions, etc.
